Hamburg Notation System

HamNoSys was developed at the IDGS, University of Hamburg. See HamNoSys within the DGS Corpus project.

SiGML is closely based on HamNoSys and supports a format for describing a sign in terms of a sequence of HamNoSys tokens encoded in XML. A number of Tools are available for editing and animating HamNoSys transcriptions via SiGML.
